SHIPPING
What are your domestic shipping rates?
Standard shipping: $10
Express shipping: $25
Where do you ship to?
We currently only ship within Australia.
Do you offer international shipping?
Not yet, we currently only ship within Australia, subscribe to our mailing list and follow our social platforms to be the first to know if international shipping is available to you.
How quick will my order ship?
Please allow 1-3 business days for order processing. You will receive a shipping confirmation email as well as a tracking number as soon as your order has been shipped. As COVID has affected us all please allow 7–14 business days (standard) and 4–7 business days (express) from order placement to receive your order.
Will I get a tracking code?
Sure will! We’ll email you as soon as your order leaves our warehouse with your tracking code.
Who do you ship with?
We use AusPost for all our shipping, they are 100% carbon neutral, which offsets all emissions.
How do I return or exchange my product?
We want you to be totally satisfied with your Open Learners product. If there is a major problem with any of our products, please reach out to info@openlearners.com.au with your name, order number and details. Due to baby safety/hygiene we do not offer returns or exchanges for change of mind.
Do I need to be home to accept my delivery?
If you're not home and do not provide authority to leave consent the delivery driver will leave you a card with your redelivery options.
For parcels redirected to your local post office, you’ll have 10 business days to collect the item before it’s returned to us. Additional charges may apply for reposting or restocking fees.

Can my baby and I become an Open Learners brand ambassador?
We’re always on the lookout for more people in the community to represent our brand. If you are interested say hello with your social media handle for a chat.
Likewise, follow us on social media to stay up to date on casting calls. We’re always looking for photos of children playing with our products: tag @openlearners or use the hashtag #openlearnersau on Facebook and Instagram.
How do I become an affiliate for Open Learners?
Email us at info@openlearners.com.au with your social media handles and a little bit about yourself as to why you are a perfect fit to represent Open Learners. Some benefits include a link you can share with your followers, where they will receive a discount, and every sale made with your link, a commission is earned. On top of that it will be based on an award system where if sales reach a certain amount, you will receive more FREE products from Open Learners. Sounds great? Simply email us for a chat.
Can I recycle the product packaging?
All of our packaging is made from recycled material and is 100% recyclable. Being environmentally friendly and sustainable is a top priority for us.
Are you affiliated with any overseas playkits / subscription box businesses?
No. We are not affiliated or associated with any other playkit/ subscription box businesses.

What are The Montessori Boxes?
Open Learners Montessori inspired boxes is a coordinated box of expert selected premium quality Montessori materials tailored to your child’s age and developmental milestones
Our Montessori Boxes include an in-depth Play guide to help parents feel connected to the ways your child is experiencing the world and ideas for play at each stage.
Are Open Learners toys safe for my baby?
Yes! Our wooden toys are hand-crafted in China from FSC Certified wood, using baby-safe non-toxic paint and finishes. Each box has been tested to ensure the toys and tools are age-appropriate, engaging, and universally appealing.
How are The Montessori boxes designed?
Open Learners boxes are thoughtfully selected and inspired by Montessori curriculum’s taught in infant and toddler classrooms around the world.
Additionally, each Montessori Box has been rigorously tested with babies and parents to ensure the toys and tools are age-appropriate, engaging, and universally appealing.
How are the materials chosen?
Each Open Learners Montessori box is inspired by Montessori curriculum’s that are used in pre-schools and early childhood education centres around the world. Each Box offers materials needed for the appropriate level of challenge for each stage of development.
The information and inspiration inside the Play guides are co-created with experts, educators, and professionals in their respective fields.
How long can my child use each Box?
While the materials in each Box are introduced over a three-month period, your baby will continue to benefit for months and even years to come. These Montessori materials are designed to grow with your child, presenting new challenges as they develop. Our Play guides provide ideas on rotating the materials to keep your little one engaged and stimulated.
Are The Montessori Box a Subscription Box?
We’re looking to expand to a Subscription Box model in the future but for now, you’ll need to order each Box separately.
Can I Purchase Individual materials?
Yes, some materials will be available to be sold individually.
Are you Montessori accredited?
Those familiar with Montessori understand the high and intense level of training needed to be Montessori accredited. Fortunately, our co-founder is in the process to being trained. Likewise, we’ve partnered with experts, educators and professionals in their respective fields to deliver you our Montessori inspired boxes.
What if you sell out of The Montessori Boxes?
If available, you can pre-order! If you’re happy with the expected delivery date, lock in a Montessori box from our next shipment.
Can The Montessori Box be sent as a gift?
Yep! You can even add a cute note. Just drop your message into the delivery notes at checkout. Open Learners Montessori Boxes make the perfect gift!

What makes a toy a Montessori appropriate?
What attracts many parents initially to Montessori toys is the benefit each toy provides and how aesthetically pleasing they are. They're simple, educational and allow children to explore cause and effect.
Typically, Montessori toys are made of natural materials and fibres such as wood, cotton, wool, or natural rubber.
They are designed to invite investigation and self-correction without being over-stimulating.
